After dropping her bags off at her apartment, Kumiko has found her way to the hangers where the Eve units in this area are located. She does have clearence, being one pilot of many, but some times she comes here alone. For no other reason then to think things over.
Her eyes look over the winged looking Eve unit here as it is her own that she will pilot if an Angel were to attack. Two other are also here in the same hanger, but meh.
Her mind drifts back to the one Angel attack she was close to. The one where the orphanage she was in was destroyed. It was one of the most horrific experiances in her life. But it also lead to her being taken in for the program. Now here she is with her own Eve unit. "My how things change", she says out loud without concern.

"...I was not expecting anyone to be here..." Stated a low voice to the side of Kumiko. Footsteps were heard as a young man walked toward her, not to converse but to merely look on at his own eva as well. His white hair obscured his light blue eyes and his leather attire caused him to look much like a biker who belonged in a street gang... Dispute his intimidating appearance he was like every other kid. Well, a kid with an eva...
"Don't mind me...I just came here to look at my eva." His tone was slightly harsh and his mannerisms seemed to be rather rude.

Kumiko looks back over her shoulder at the new arrival and chuckles to herself. A biker Eva pilet. "It is odd huh? How we ended up with these things." She doesn't say much more really. She really doesn't know too many of the other pilots.
"My name is Kumiko...Kumiko Shimizu. What's your name?"

Gazing at his Azure Eva it took a moment for the young man to reply. He gazed to the floor before looking to the girl.
"...Ai Maria Ricci..." His voice grew soft slightly as his light blue optics once again looked over at the amazing creation that was Eva. Ai was never a good person to talk to. Due to his rather depressed out look on life and his intimidating appearance people from the get go did not like him. Strange, he was actually considering talking to the girl.
"Kumiko, its nice to meet you..." For a moment he paused not knowing much else to say. His eyes dart left to right before regaining his confidence.
"...I am new here, just got my Eva 3 days ago."

"Nice to meet you too." Kumiko nods at his words about only getting his EVE a few days ago. She has had hers for a few months and she is still in awe about how it works and how destructive it can be. "It can be a bit scarey. But if we didn't use these machines to stand against the Angels, who would. That is how I get through it."
She looks at the one before her, the massive wing span. "I asked a question once as to why this one can't fly, dispite the wings. They said the pay loads are too heavy." She looks back to her companion, "It would be awesome to pilot something like this that can fly."
